From June to August 2018, Ozarks Health Commission (OHC) partner organizations promoted a survey to get local input on community health needs. The survey had a total of 2,525 responses. Of these responses, 2,478 (98%) were in English and 44 (2%) were in Spanish. Respondents were asked to indicate the county where they receive the majority of their health care. Three counties: Jasper County, MO (38%); Greene County, MO (26%); and Newton County, MO (16%) led the way with a combined 81% of the overall total. Note that this is not necessarily indicative of which county these individuals actually reside in, as both the Springfield and Joplin areas are home to large regional health care providers.
